The Toughest Time in My Life as a Surgeon
As I operate in a respirator on a potential Covid patient my surgical team faces such personal risk.
I can not breathe well as the headlight blocks the airflow.
I can not see well as the plastic is cloudy and my loops fog up.
The light blurs as a yellow reflection blinds me on the plastic.
The heat of the light burns my eyes.
The most complex time of my life as a surgeon.
The greatest risk I have my team has faced. It weighs so heavy on my heart.
Yet…I can hardly wait to start this daily journey again…
